Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to update my vehicle insurance, registration or watercraft certificate every time it renews?
A: Yes. The lease requires you to update the SCRV Office immediately upon renewal. If it expires, you will be automatically emailed a notice of the expiration, and it must be updated within 30 days to avoid account suspension.
Q: What information is needed to satisfy the insurance requirement?
A: In most cases, only vehicles with an engine will have an insurance card. Travel trailers and utility trailers must have an insurance declarations page showing you as the insured, expiration date, the make and VIN of the unit.
Q: What happens if I do not update the required expired documents within 30 days and my account is suspended?
A: You will not be able to enter the facility to park or pick up your property until the documents are updated. Security will advise you what is needed but you will have to wait until the next business day until the office is open to remove the suspension. Showing the documents to security will not lift the suspension, only the office staff can.
Q: Can I show you that I have current insurance and registration on my phone?
A: No. Current members who are updating our records, you can take a screenshot and email it to us. Our email address (info@scrvcompound.com) is on the back of your SCRV ID card. Your screenshot must include you as the owner/insured, make model and VIN/Hull number of your property stored.
New members must bring paper copies of all required documents. If you use your phone to provide any of the documents, you will be rescheduled.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, check, and credit cards.
Q: Can I bring a vendor who is not on the approved vendor list?
A: Yes. They will be given an opportunity at the time of their visit to become a vendor free of charge. If they decline or do not provide the required insurance documents for subsequent visits to the compound, they will not be permitted on site. You will have to remove your unit from the property so they can work on it.
Q: If someone (Uber, Lyft, a friend) gives me a ride to the compound so I can pick up my RV or car, can they drop me off at my space?
A: Yes. They can be checked in as visitors and drive you to your space. They must remain with you until you drive out of the compound. We have no way of checking them out without your SCRV ID card.
Q: Can my account be abruptly terminated?
A: Yes. Your account can be terminated at any time for non-compliance (flat tires, expired documents), abuse of any SCRV property or another members’ property, violation of any rule/regulation, or disrespectful behavior to staff or security.
